For families, organizing the necessary care for a sick child can be a great burden. On top of that, the procurement and subsidy of necessary aids and therapies can be challenging. Sometimes the costs are not or only partially covered by health insurance. These families are dependent on fast and unbureaucratic help.

With the aim of supporting children with life-shortening diseases, the association KinderEngel RheinMain was founded by a group of socially committed women in Frankfurt, Germany, in 2020. They help facilities that provide effective life support, such as outpatient hospice services for children in the Rhine-Main region.

Fresenius Kabi Germany has been supporting charitable projects throughout the country for years. Driven by its corporate philosophy of caring for life, Fresenius Kabi Germany decided to give this year’s annual charitable donation of €20,000 to the KinderEngel RheinMain.

"An important issue for the KinderEngel is the removal of taboos surrounding children's hospice work. This is no easy task, for which I show the KinderEngel my greatest respect. We are happy when we can give children and their parents a little light and thus some joy with our support." emphasizes the management of Fresenius Kabi Germany.

The contribution from Fresenius Kabi Germany will enable the KinderEngel RheinMain to further improve the quality of life of children in need: The donation supports the financing of a new therapy horse and beyond that add to facilities that provide optimal treatment, care, support, nursing and aftercare.
