This year’s Christmas donation from Fresenius Kabi Germany, to the amount of €20,000, goes to the Thuringia Institute for the Blind.

The institute provides support for visually impaired children and teenagers, offering school-based education and training programs. In addition, the institute offers residential and training facilities for adults, some of whom have severe multiple handicaps. The support provided by the institute ranges from early assistance, visiting children and their families at home, to the institute’s own schools.

The institute also operates special places where adults can live and work, such as various types of housing support and a special workshop where people with multiple disabilities find meaningful work.

“We are really touched by the work and efforts of the Thuringia Institute for the Blind,” says Christine Hensel, Head of Marketing Nutrition, Infusions, and Pharmaceuticals, Fresenius Kabi Germany. “We are convinced by the organization’s holistic approach and are delighted to be supporting the institute’s vision of offering prospects to visually impaired and blind people.”
