Fresenius Kabi Germany supports children’s hospice and family care service

December 18, 2019

Every year, Fresenius Kabi Germany gives a traditional Christmas donation to support charities and their good causes. In 2019, Fresenius Kabi Germany decided to help the two associations “Broken Wings” (“Flügelbruch e. V.”) and the Malteser children’s hospice and family care service (“Malteser Kinderhospiz- und Familienbegleitdienst Main-Kinzig-Fulda”) with €20,000.

Each charity received a donation of €10,000, which provides both organizations with more opportunities to realize unfulfilled dreams and enable joyful moments for cancer patients, severely ill children and their families.

The contribution from Fresenius Kabi Germany will enable the “Broken Wings” initiative to organize more activities like visits to concerts or outdoor excursions for cancer patients. The Malteser children’s hospice and family care service will use the donation, among others, for bringing joy to the severely ill children and their families by fulfilling their Christmas or birthday wishes.

“We are deeply moved by the exceptional help, that both the ‘Broken Wings’ initiative and the ambulant Malteser children’s hospice and family care service grant to patients and families,” says Christian Schäfer, Managing Director at Fresenius Kabi Germany. “According to our guiding philosophy of ‘caring for life’, we want to support their commitment and good causes.”
