September 9, 2016

Fresenius Kabi has begun expanding and modernizing its production site in Mihla, Thuringia, Germany. Mihla mayor Rainer Lämmerhirt attended a groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion.

The global healthcare company will invest around €10 million over the next two years to build a new, 1,000-square-meter manufacturing facility and to expand the existing warehouse. Through this expansion, Fresenius Kabi will strengthen its specialization in injection molding as well as the assembly of components for containers of pharmaceutical products and medical disposables. This expansion will allow the company to produce components at the modernized site that had previously been manufactured under contract.
