Fresenius Kabi starts monthly donation of essential drugs in Brazil to fight COVID-19

Fresenius Kabi is committed to what matters most in healthcare: improving the patients’ quality of life. This has never been more important than during the ongoing global health crisis.

According the company’s philosophy of “caring for life”, Fresenius Kabi in Brazil has started to donate more than 23,000 ampoules and vials of essential medicines for the treatment of COVID-19 patients in July and will continue to donate the same amount on a monthly basis at least until the end of the year.

With this effort, amounting to a market cost of around R$2 million (around €320,000) per month, Fresenius Kabi supports the local healthcare institutions in Anápolis in their fight against the pandemic. The city is home to one of the company’s production sites with nearly 500 employees and is recognized as one of the country’s important pharmaceutical hubs.

Fresenius Kabi has been operating in the country for more than 40 years and employs 2,000 people throughout Brazil. The company thereby maintains its commitment to offer better products and services, capable of directly impacting patients’ quality of life around the globe.
