Continuing a 40-years long history in Brazil

Reaching more and more patients in South America: Fresenius Kabi inaugurated its new distribution center in Brazil to further increase the supply of medicines for the therapy and care of critically and chronically ill patients. The building covers 9,000 square meters (around 96,000 square feet) and is located in the city of Itapevi, São Paulo. It took about a year of preparation to adapt the center to the needs of Fresenius Kabi. The reason for acquiring this new distribution center is the need for an expansion of the warehouse and shipping capacities, in order to keep up with the continuously growing demand in Brazil.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by company executives, associations, and municipal authorities. On site were the Mayor of Itapevi, Igor Soares, Municipal Secretaries, and also members of the Commercial and Industrial Association of Itapevi. “The site represents another step forward for our company in Brazil,” said Fresenius Kabi Managing Director for Brazil, Hernâni Sério and continued: “Our company has a 40-years history of operating in the country and we will continue to help patients and Healthcare Professionals in Brazil and the whole region."
